Sangria - Recipe and Photo

Ingredients:

(1/2)    bottle of dry red Wine (375 ml) (I recommend Merlot)

1(1/2)  oz.       Cointreau

2          oz.        Brandy

2          tablespoons of each fruit (apple, orange, white grape, strawberry. papaya, pineapple)

6 to 8  oz.        Orange juice

3          tablespoons of White sugar

400     ml.        7-up

8 to 12              Ice cubes

Preparation:

- Cut the fruits like tiny boxes

- Pour ingredients in order in a jarr (1 litre), except for the 7-up and the ice cubes

- Mix the content of the jarr until sugar gets dissolved

- Put into fridge for 1 to 8 hours (2 to 6 recommended)

- After the chilling period, pour the ice cubes

- Finally pour the 7-up

NOTE 1: While the Sangria is drinked it shouldn't increase too much its tempaerature because there's a temp where the red wine tastes stronger and breaks the equilibrium of the Sangria. This is why it's very important to use the ice cubs wisely.

NOTE 2: Beware with the apple slices because they get dark very fast. To avoid this to happen, you should put the apple slices in water with some lemon juice.

NOTE 3: Don't forget to take off the grape the skin and the seeds. This is very important for the fruit to get its flavour correctly and to enhance the drink experience.

Presentation and Decoration:

Glass: White or Red Wine (6 oz.)

- Orange spiral into or around the jarr
