The movie "5 centimeters per second" (by Makoto Shinkai) consists of 3 short stories as its subtitle reads "a chain of short stories about their distance.". This review is based on the first short story: "Cherry Blossom Extract".

There's only one word in my mind: MASTERPIECE!.

Animation: (10/10)

The graphic quality of this anime is just SUPERB. There's no other anime I've seen that can compare to this one in graphics. Animation is also top notch, but I can recall some other animes that can compete with this in animation (Suzumiya haruhi probably).

Sound: (10/10)

The sound is just perfect!. The voices suit perfectly for the characters, the effects and details are extraordinary (I love when the classroom lights up, it's just amazing how sound and graphics match),  Tenmon's soundtrack is sublime and Yamazaki Masayoshi's scores couldn't be better.

Story: (10/10)

I LOVE THE STORY!!!. IT MADE ME CRY ... MORE THAN ONCE!!!. Definitely I'm not used to cry, but I cried. The story is so simple, but at the same time is so deep. I think that this is where this anime really make a diference.

Character: (10/10)

The characters, "Takaki Tono" and his close friend "Akari Shinohara", just like the story, are very simple, yet very deep. I would just love to be friends with them, cherish them and share some of their great and personal moments. The characters and their relation are just LOVELY!!!.

Enjoyment: (10/10)

I don't know but the flavour of this anime is superb, at the moment I hear the voices of Takaki or Akari emotions begin to move. I just can't describe the mix of emotions this anime fires on myself. I think that if I see this anime 100 times, it will still warmth my heart. I LOVE IT!!!.

I strongly recommend this anime to everybody. Young or adult, male or female, it just doesn't matter. Boundaries doesn't exist for this great and special anime.
